Angela + Christopher – Sneak Peek Part 1-Atrium at the Curtis Center- Philadelphia Wedding Planner- Angela MALICKI Events- Titus Print

This summer we had the pleasure of working with Angela and Chris day of on their glamorous chic wedding! We’ve known Angela (via Eric) for years and knew when her and Chris met in 09′ , this was a match made in heaven. We were honored when they asked us to design their wedding stationery and assist with Day of. We started our day at the Hotel Monaco where the bride was sipping champagne getting pampered before slipping into her stunning beaded gown.  The bridesmaids looked fabulous in their long satin black gowns, completed with perfect pink bouquets designed by Petah Bashano Flowers.  Once Angela put on her Jimmy Choo’s , we were good to go and we made our way to the  Cathedral Basillica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. After  the ceremony Eric and I headed to the reception at the Atrium at the Curtis Center where we began set up of all the gorgeous details the couple worked on.  The Reception was breathtaking with a black, white, and pink theme, customized all the way to the “Eat. Drink. And Be Married” napkins found at the bar.

Ah, Wedding Season! Why stress! – Philadelphia Wedding and Event Planner – Angela MALICKI event

Wedding season is blossoming early for many professionals and of course, planners. Couples are either beginning or finalizing their plans for their big day, and the panic begins! No matter how organized one can be, there is that little issue that comes to mind of “What might Happen”? Don’t stress, I’m here for you baby! What does a planner do exactly? We take all your stressful thoughts and throw them out the window. A planner is that person that understands your needs and can see your vision, and most of all-knowing your day will be perfect! A go to person when you need advice for those last minute “whatevers”, but most of all your PLANNER. I remember when I got married, I had no planner and I wish I did. Some of those “What might Happen” did happen. Whadda ya gonna do!

This is the most important time of your life- next to the birth of your first born or your first home purchase. But knowing that there is someone there TCBing, your head will be clear.

Just Got Engaged? – Philadephia Wedding and Event Planner – Angela MALICKI events

Just got engaged? Congrats! We have a few tips on how to make this fabulous time of your life as smooth, successful, and stress free as possible while still enjoying all the attention that you deserve. Once your significant other puts a ring on IT, you immediately call your family, then your BFF. Most importantly, get that manicure girl!! Now here comes the part where engagements can become a little stressful. The questions will arise, “What do we ultimately want for our wedding”? After the magic phase wears off and you spent about $200 bucks on those wonderful, informative glossy magazines, your fairy tale dream has come true but with a few things that you might not have thought about like “Will the ceremony be religious or not? In what season will we get married? How long of an engagement do we want? How large of a wedding are we considering? OMG what is my budget? HELP where are the tissues! Don’t stress, it gets easier.

Those are all very good questions and once finding the asnwers to them, the most important task that you will have is to immediately hire an EVENT PLANNER! To plan a wedding, it will typically take 250 plus hours. Surprised? Well if you break down every element of your wedding, from selecting a venue, organizing transportation to your out-of-town guests, designing your dinner menu, choosing your wedding day look, meeting with multiple professionals – 250 hours definitely adds up fast. Event planners are skilled in this department, they know exactly what they are talking about and can make this process quick, easy, and stress-free for your big day. If and when you decide on hiring an event planner, make sure they connect with you and your fiance. They will be planning the most important day of your life, so you want to make sure that they are the right fit for both of you. Once you find that special wedding planner, the process will already feel less stressful. One important suggestion is to immediately book the location of the ceremony, venue for the rehearsal dinner and reception, and any vendor that you “have to have” for your wedding (i.e. photographer, caterer, etc). Even if you decide on a longer engagement, it is always helpful to know that the important details are already completed. The color scheme, attire, flowers, etc., can come later. If you cannot afford a planner, try contacting one and see if he or she can accomodate your needs. But always remember that this should be a happy time in your life, not a stressful one. Congratulations on all the recent engagements that have happened over the holidays and, it is hoped that these tips will help you throughout your engagement process!

XOXO,

Split-skis and Wedded Bliss, Celebrity Nuptuals of 2010 – Philadelphia Wedding and Event Planner – Angela MALICKI events

2010 is coming to an end, which means it is definitely time to recap the best weddings of the year and the unfortunate splits as well. Let’s first discuss the fabulous weddings that were my favorites in 2010: The super spunky, bad-mouthing, beautiful reality star, Bethanny Frankel wed Jason Hoppy last March at the Four Seasons Hotel in NYC. Her wedding was anything but traditional, with unique modern flare as the theme. Hillary Duff was another favorite. Her wedding was elegant, traditional and tastefully decorated. She looked absolutely stunning in her ivory colored mermaid fitted dress designed by Vera Wang. There were also a few extravagant, newsworthy weddings in the past year. A few of the winners in this category were Carrie Underwood, Katy Perry, and Nicole Richie. Underwood’s wedding was totaled at over $500,000, while Katy Perry had a week-long extravaganza in India. Nicole Richie’s December wedding was hosted at her famous father’s house, but what made her part of this newsworthy category was a special guest, an elephant! The social event of the summer was Chelsea Clinton’s wedding to Marc Mezvinsky. 400 of her friends and family came to watch her walk down the aisle wearing a Vera Wang dress in Rhinebeck, N.Y. A few other celebs that got married were Alanis Morrisette and Mario Treadway, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, and Anna Paquin and Steven Moyer. We can confidently say that weddings in 2010 were show-stopping! A few shocking splits also happened this past year. I was saddened to hear about Courtney Cox and David Arquette. They have been together for so long and although not officially divorced, they are separated. The most famous split of 2010 was Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. She not only became a super star actress and mother in 2010, but also had the most public and humiliating divorce of the year, maybe even the decade. Jesse cheated on her with not one, but allegedly, multiple tattooed women and currently is dating Kat Von D. Sandra definitely came out on top when exiting this marriage. Christina Aguilera recently checked out of her marriage to Jordan Bratman as did Eva Longoria with husband Tony Parker. The most recent splits to end 2010 are Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson – we never really heard much about that marriage anyway! Last, but certainly not least, – attention all Dexter fans! Yes, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall filed for divorce, eloped and were only married for two years. Tear. So to conclude, 2010 was filled with fabulous, over the top weddings, but also brought a few shocking splits. Here’s hoping 2011 will bring even more extravagant weddings and fewer splits! One wedding we will sure not miss will be The Royal Wedding! The wedding will be taken place on April 29th, 2011 at Westminster Abbey. Details have yet to be disclosed on Kate’s dress, tiara, and who will be on the guest list! Have a great New Year!
